Spongebob Squarepants is a character appearing in Tails Gets Trolled. A vengeful ninja, he sets off on a quest to avenge his loved ones after they are murdered by one of his closest friends.
Appearance
In his appearance in Chapter 25, Spongebob appears wearing a black ninja/assassin like outfit. Only his eyes and a portion of his skin are visible. The outfit appears to be skin tight as his outlines are clearly seen, with his long nose pointing out.
History
Spongebob and his partner Patrick are first seen in a bar at Hallow's End. Spongebob talks to Patrick about their plan, showing a resolve that worries Patrick. When Patrick brings up Sandy, saying that she would not approve of their plan, Spongebob claims that Patrick never cared for her at all. Patrick tears up over this accusation, causing Spongebob to apologize as he rests his head in his hands.
After being trolled by Vageness and Hailyon, M-13 calls Spongebob and Patrick over to Saralite's room. Spongebob reveals to the witch that he seeks to hunt down someone he once considered a brother to him for murdering his family. Together with Patrick, they had tracked this person to West Troll City. A purple aura begins to form from Saralite as she speaks to Spongebob's mind, demanding that he sacrifice a loved one. Spongebob looks to Patrick and gives his consent by stating "...do it...", however, unaware of the deal, Patrick leaps onto the table and attacks Saralite by performing the Fire Ball Jutsu. Saralite absorbs the flames and ties Patrick down using Neutral strings before forming small spear in her hand. Spongebob looks away as Patrick begs Spongebob to stop Saralite before being impaled by the spear, with his soul taken from his body.
As the transaction is completed, Saralite keeps her promise and opens a portal to another realm. Spongebob enters the realm and begins to train to prepare for his encounter with the Trolls. The next time he is seen is during Chapter 26: Anguish, where he rescues The Narrorator from throwing his life away after being trolled. He slays the trolls attacking the Narrorator but learns nothing about his target, who is revealed to be Squidward. As he walks away from the scene, The Narrorator pesters him and asks to join Spongebob on his quest. Spongebob initially declines but relents when The Narrorator states that he knows West Troll City "like the back of his ballsack".
Spongebob then makes a cameo in Chapter 27.5, where he is one of the two main protagonists of the Dragon Balls spin-off, fighting against Narrateur, who overpowers the duo with pink magic, killing them (Narrateur excluded) at once.
Personality
Spongebob's desire for revenge is shown to be ultimately more important to him than the life of his best friend, as he is shown to be willing to sacrifice Patrick in order to obtain the power needs to murder his target. He does appear to be somewhat remorseful / mortified of his decision as he cannot bear to look at Patrick as his soul is taken by Saralite. This is also further shown when he revisits Saralite and asks if there is a possibility of freeing Patrick's soul.
During the years past he appears to have become somewhat distant, but he is not entirely turned away from companionship. He gives off a slight smile as he accepts The Narrorator's offer to join up.
