Lazerbot (real name Camrey Blankenship) is the creator of Tails Gets Trolled and its spinoffs. He is both the artist and the writer for the series, with some assistance from his brother known as Embergram.
History
Creation of Tails Gets Trolled
Lazerbot published the first pages of Tails Gets Trolled on October 10th, 2011. On August 5th, 2012, Lazerbot's original DeviantArt account was hacked, leading to some confusion as the hacker began to upload his own version of Chapter 11. Despite the effort, Lazerbot continued under a new DeviantArt account. The original account was taken back with help from a fan on April 15th, 2019.
Lazerbot also temporarily posted on Something Awful when he was gifted an account to post with[citation needed]. This was somewhat short-lived as he soon left believing the site to be full of actual trolls, culminating with Lazerbot making a post highlighting how terrible he thought SA was on his general DeviantArt account on Janurary 15th, 2014.
Problems would begin to arise in the year of 2015. Lazerbot's laptop, which he had been using to create Tails Gets Trolled, began to have issues. This caused a minor delay in the month of April 2015, but would be resolved quickly. However, Tails Gets Trolled would soon see another delay on June 13th, 2015 as Lazerbot would be moving and as a result, not have access to the internet for a while. Due to many additional factors such as sickness, the laptop finally dying, and needing to move houses constantly, the next chapter (Chapter 22) would not be released until 2017, two years after the release of the previous chapter.
After the conclusion of Chapter 22, the series took a slight hiatus as Lazerbot once again switched DeviantArt accounts and had to deal with real life issues once more.
Most of the updates to the comic would now be posted on the new account (then known as iiupsidedownii). Lazerbot and Embergram (his co-artist/co-writer/brother) would posts updates from time to time regarding Tails Gets Trolled Polished and other personal projects they were working on. A Patreon account dedicated to reaching a goal of $100 per month that would be used to support a new artist for Tails Gets Trolled was also created, but did not see much success.
