Problems would begin to arise in the year of 2015. Lazerbot's laptop, which he had been using to create Tails Gets Trolled, began to have issues. This caused a minor delay in the month of April 2015, but would be resolved quickly. However, Tails Gets Trolled would soon see another delay on June 13th, 2015 as Lazerbot would be moving and as a result, not have access to the internet for a while. Due to many additional factors such as sickness, the laptop finally dying, and needing to move houses constantly, the next chapter ([[Chapter 22: The conclusion Part 2|Chapter 22]]) would not see any releases until 2017, two years after the release of the previous chapter. Adding on to the delays, before the start of Chapter 22, the series also took a slight hiatus as Lazerbot created a separate DeviantArt account to focus on Tails Gets Trolled. The previous Tails Gets Trolled pages would be removed from his general account during this time and moved there.

History

Creation of Tails Gets Trolled

Lazerbot published the first pages of Tails Gets Trolled on October 10th, 2011. On August 5th, 2012, Lazerbot's original DeviantArt account was hacked, leading to some confusion as the hacker began to upload his own version of Chapter 11. Despite the effort, Lazerbot continued under a new DeviantArt account. The original account was taken back with help from Lazerbot's friend on April 15th, 2019.

Lazerbot was involved with the Something Awful forums around this in the early years of the comic, and took notice of the thread where the goons were discussing the comic. Although he appreciated the fan tributes they made, he did not take kindly to some of their criticisms and made a journal post highlighting some comments in the thread and his response to them.

Due to many additional factors such as sickness, the laptop finally dying, and needing to move houses constantly, the next chapter (Chapter 22) would not see any releases until 2017, two years after the release of the previous chapter. Adding on to the delays, before the start of Chapter 22, the series also took a slight hiatus as Lazerbot created a separate DeviantArt account to focus on Tails Gets Trolled. The previous Tails Gets Trolled pages would be removed from his general account during this time and moved there.

Most of the updates to the comic would now be posted on the new account (then known as iiupsidedownii, now as lltailsgetstrolledll). Lazerbot and Embergram (his co-artist/co-writer/brother) would post updates from time to time regarding Tails Gets Trolled Polished and other personal projects they were working on. A Patreon account dedicated to reaching a goal of $100 per month that would be used to support a new artist for Tails Gets Trolled was also created, but did not see much success.

Some time would pass before anything Tails Gets Trolled related would be released. On March 18th, 2018, however, Lazerbot hosted a Q&A where he answered questions related to the lore of Tails Gets Trolled.
