On September 18th, 2019, Lazerbot would join the ''Tails Gets Trolled'' Discord sever and would then interact with the fans, [[External lore|sharing]] some plot details occasionally. He would then oversee a project to revive ''Tails Gets Trolled''. Lazerbot was involved with the Something Awful forums in the early years of the comic, and took notice of the thread where the goons were discussing the comic. On April 27th, 2021, Lazerbot announced that he will no longer be working on ''Tails Gets Trolled'' due to personal issues. Embergram then announced that he would be taking over in his absence.


Problems began to arise in the year of 2015. Lazerbot's laptop, which he had been using to create Tails Gets Trolled, began to have issues. This caused a minor delay in the month of April 2015, but this was resolved quickly. However, ''Tails Gets Trolled'' would soon see another delay on June 13th, 2015 as Lazerbot was moving and as a result, did not have access to the Internet for a while. Due to many additional factors such as sickness, the laptop finally dying, and needing to move houses constantly, ''Tails Gets Trolled'' did not receive any updates until 2017, when [[Chapter 22: The conclusion Part 2|Chapter 22]] was released, two years after the release of the previous chapter. Adding on to the delays, before the start of Chapter 22, the series also took a slight hiatus as Lazerbot created a separate DeviantArt account to focus on Tails Gets Trolled. The previous Tails Gets Trolled pages were removed from his general account during this time and moved there.

Lazerbot and Embergram (his co-artist/co-writer/brother) would post updates from time to time regarding ''Tails Gets Trolled'' and other personal projects they were working on. A Patreon account dedicated to reaching a goal of $100 per month that would be used to support a new artist for Tails Gets Trolled was also created, but did not see much success.

On November 20th, 2021, it was announced on the ''Tails Gets Trolled'' Twitter and Discord that Lazerbot has returned to ''Tails Gets Trolled''. It is stated that he will not be making as many pages as before but will still be involved. Later, on November 29th, he put out an official statement stating:
