How 'violence' became 'villains'

How 'violence' became 'villains'. (BTW, this is just a theory.) Lazerbot didn’t know how to spell ‘violence’, so he tried sounding it out (Y’know, the way a child would do it). Because English is a mess, if you were to sound out ‘violence’ you wouldn’t pronounce the ‘o’, pronouncing it as ‘vi-lence’. Even the IPA pronunciation shows an optional ‘ə (schwa)’ where the ‘o’ should be: (/ˈvaɪ(ə)ləns/). And for the ‘ə’ that you do pronounce is, well, a ‘ə’, a sound that could be for any vowel, including ‘a’ & ‘i’. ‘C’ can make an ‘s’ or ‘k’ noise, so Lazerbot just guessed that it was an ‘s’ and not a ‘c’. You also don’t pronounce the ‘e’ at the end sentences because it’s English. Literally, the only thing that makes ‘villains’ a “correct” spelling are the double ‘L’s. Was my theory too confusing? Well, here’s a more simple way to view it:
violence (start with the correct spelling)
vilence (remove the ‘o’)
vilaince (replace the first ‘e’ with a ‘ai’)
vilainse (replace the ‘c’ with an ‘s’)
vilains (remove the second ‘e’)
villains (add an ‘L’ before/after the first ‘L’)
