Mr. Clair is an enigmatic figure appearing in Tails Gets Trolled Polished.

It is unknown as to what Mr. Clair looks like due to him being covered by shadows. From his outlines, he appears to have a beard and wears a hat.

Not much is known about Mr. Clair. At some point in time, he obtains both Travous and Lord Thunder Claw and becomes their master.

In Polished, he is seen conversing with Troll King in the shadows. He asks for Troll King to retrieve the "Book of Ryzel" so that he can translate it and learn of what secrets are found within. Troll King agrees (in exchange for a copy of the book once Mr. Clair is finished translating), but asks for one of his birds in exchange. Troll King requests for Travous, leaving Lord Thunder Claw. Mr. Clair then reveals that the Book is in possession of a Toad named Toadrake, within the Mushroom Kingdom and tasks the King with finding it.

In Tails Gets Trolled

Mr. Clair is confirmed to exist in the main series by Travous on Chapter 24: Coyote's Wrath, Page 8. Travous dissuades Troll King from crushing his skull by bringing up Mr. Clair's name, stating that it would not be wise to "burn bridges with the only friends you have".

Mr. Clair looks down on Troll King's followers, describing them as filthy peasants. He also respects his bird companions a great deal, referring to them as his "pookies", and appears hesitant to lend one to Troll King at first.

What Mr. Clair is capable of is unknown. He appears to be strong enough to be respected by Troll King himself, though for what reason is unknown.
